A Budding Artist

As a young child, I have always loved to play with my toys and of course draw on the walls much to my parents’ chagrin. To this day, I look back at the time where I have little creative inhibitions. As a way to get in touch with my inner child, I made a stop motion video that reflects it. I scattered a few of my and my sisters’ plush toys, placed my easel and drew on it using oil pastel – as it resembles crayons yet is more opaque. The deliberately amateurish cinematography is meant to invoke nostalgia in a form of the videos that parents would have likely shot back in the day.
